Emocije i motivacija – pokretala ponašanja
Ljudsko ponašanje pokreću mnogi poznati i manje poznati psihički procesi. Jesu li um i emocije isključivi?

Emotions and Motivation – Drivers of Behavior
Human behavior is propelled by various well-known and lesser-known psychological processes. Emotions and motivation are considered essential drivers of behavior at psychological and social levels, in all life circumstances, and at every stage of life. However, these concepts are inseparable from many familiar concepts such as will, mind, etc. The relationship between emotions, motives, mind, will, individuals, communities, therapists, patients, etc., has been contemplated by numerous philosophers, sociologists, psychologists, biologists, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists. Their reflections are part of a long history of attempts to answer questions that remain just as relevant today: What motivates human behavior? Why do we do what we do? What is the relationship between thought and action? What is the connection between beliefs and emotions? Are mind and emotions exclusive? How do emotions shape social reality? What is the relationship between motivation and societal development? Can motivation be biologically grounded? What role do motivation and emotions play in psychiatry and psychotherapy?
We will attempt to address these and similar questions at the international conference “Emotions and Motivation – Drivers of Behavior,” scheduled to take place in Zagreb on March 7, 2024, at the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Zagreb.
As part of the development of dialogue between philosophy, sciences, culture, and society, we recognize that it is relevant and socially beneficial to explore and present the most well-known and recent answers to posed questions from various scholarly perspectives. Therefore, we invite you to enrich the conference program with your contributions.
